Probably because of your Chinese Windows version. I am sorry, I don't know for sure but currently the compiler should support Unicode.

The TStingList that holds the filenames doesn't support Unicode. This should not happens on scan menu.

I think I know the answer of your the first question.. it's because of TStingList doesn't 't support Unicode sad

Thanks for noticing me, I will add Unicode support for the code later (in the next kcore update).

The exception bug is solved maybe.. I use TEncoding.UTF8 when loading the file.

Database loading will be fixed until I have fast connection to install another system language. I never use Chinese system  language before therefore I can't imagine the content of db file look like.

Maybe using other system language such as arabic, russia, japan, korea, etc

I was trying Thai language. Only name of system files became Thai. Could you give me the screenshot of db1.vdb opened using Notepad? Just to make sure is it still Latin alphabet or Chinese..
